Recently, Darren from LiftWerx in Cambridge reached out to us because he needed a pipe cane stack flashing installed on his facility’s roof. This flashing was essential for a toilet exhaust pipe, often called a “stink pipe.” Without it, water could seep through the roof, and unpleasant odours might spread inside.

Scope of the Work

• First, we removed the rocks where the flashing needed to be installed.

• Next, we cleaned the roof surface for proper adhesion.

• Then, we cut a precise hole for the new pipe.

• After that, we installed a durable aluminum pipe stack.

• We primed the roof to ensure strong bonding.

• Following this, we applied self-adhesive EPDM flashing around the pipe stack.

• Finally, we sealed every seam with lap sealant silicone.

The repair went smoothly, and Darren was very satisfied with the outcome. His facility now has a properly installed flashing that protects the building from leaks while ensuring a fully functional exhaust system.
