A previous customer called us to remove a non-used chimney pipe which was causing a leak. Leak most of the time comes from the pipe stack itself or it depends on how it was fastened and shingled around. In this case, it was the improper nailing of the stack. Shingles need to be removed around, cut the plywood rafter to rafter and new plywood needs to be installed closing the hole. A waterproofing membrane and the closest match of shingles are installed where removed.
