This client called us for a skylight installation. He wanted to add more light in his finished attic part of the house. Cutting an opening on the roof and ceiling was required. After determining the skylight placement, we did cut on the roof and ceiling, rough framed the opening and installed a GGL Velux roof window. This type of roof window is widely used in Europe but not so much here in North America because our house attics are not usually converted onto livable spaces.
Once the window installed, our skylight specialist waterproofed around the skylight and installed shingles which are the closest match of existing ones. We also performed a roof tune up on roof vents and other protrusions.
